As full-time digital nomads, we live and work on the road. This means that every workday looks a little different. Sometimes, we might be huddled up in the van, hiding away from the elements; others will be spent in coffee shops in cities around the world. However, this particular day was a special one, so we’d like to share it with you.

A Slow Morning at Kip and Nook
As we were staying in The Nook pitch at Kip and Nook, upon Ben’s advice, we started our day with a soak in the hot tub with a brew. I would now recommend this combination to anyone as the perfect way to start your day!

The Sun Terrace
One of the advantages of The Nook Pitch is the Sun Terrace. This is a personal viewing platform attached to the pitch. You follow the steps up to a wooden deck that gives you an uninterrupted view of nature and a perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail from the workshop and watch the sun go down. This is also an ideal spot to roll out the yoga mat, so we had a little stretch before starting our day.
The Breakfast Room
After a brew with a view, we headed to The Workshop’s Breakfast room. We ordered avocado on toast the previous day, and it did not disappoint. Within the breakfast room, there is also a continental-style breakfast on offer. With a choice of cereals, bread, dried fruit, jams and preserves, there are plenty of options to ensure you enjoy a healthy start to your day.
After a healthy breakfast and a couple of flat whites, we left feeling ready to get to work.

The Co-Working Space
While we know how lucky we are to live the way we do, sometimes it just feels so good to get out of our van, change our surroundings and spread out. The co-working space at Kip and Nook gave us the opportunity to do just that. The space has the vibe of a Scandi-style cafe without the noise and the hustle and bustle of an actual cafe. The space is quiet and comfortable, with great Wifi…what more could two digital nomads need?
The art and creative books that adorn the walls give the space a creative feel, which really helps to stimulate our creativity. The vast open area gave us plenty of room to spread out, take stock of the footage from our various cameras and drones, and have a technical and mental work reset.

Within the co-working space, you can also take advantage of the hot and cold drinks offered at The Workshop. We ordered a couple of coffees and enjoyed a healthy homemade cookie, too! Little touches such as these can really make a big impact when you’re having a work day. A nice hot coffee and a sweet treat in a cosy and inviting space help us to zone in and focus on being creative and getting work done.
As freelancers who live on the road, keeping ourselves accountable can be an ongoing battle, so having spaces such as these to refocus in is super beneficial. In the years we’ve been working in our little home-on-wheels, we’ve only found two (including Kip and Nook) campsites that offer this! Our hope is that more will follow suit as they realise that a field with basic amenities just won’t cut it anymore!
Having the co-working space on top of all the other amenities was a huge bonus for us, solidifying Kip & Nook as a campsite that we know we’ll return to time and time again.
